Our story began in 2006 in the heart of Geelong, Australia, with a simple but powerful idea: to create a cozy café where people could come together and indulge in the finest chocolate creations. The response was overwhelming, and it wasn’t long before chocolate lovers from all over embraced our vision.
In 2007, we took the leap into India, where our passion for chocolate met a nation of food lovers. We were the first to introduce the live kitchen concept in Indian cafés, where fresh dishes were prepared right before our customers’ eyes, creating a unique and memorable experience. This innovation quickly made The Chocolate Room a household name among chocolate enthusiasts.
From those early days, we’ve grown tremendously, expanding across 11 countries, and over 400 chocolate cafes around the world. Our success is driven by the love and trust of our customers, who share our dedication to quality, freshness, and innovation.
Now, as the master franchisor for the North America region, we’re thrilled to bring The Chocolate Room experience to Canada. Our cafés will continue to serve the handcrafted chocolates, delicious beverages, and freshly prepared treats that our customers have come to love, but with a local twist.

Born into a traditional Patel family with deep business roots, Vatsal moved to Canada to pursue his Bachelor’s in Computer Science. With entrepreneurial spirit in his blood, he dreamed of creating something impactful that would bring people together. His passion for chocolate and a desire to share India’s rich flavors led him to bring the renowned The Chocolate Room to Canada. His café, built on a deep commitment to quality and community, offers warmth and joy to everyone who steps inside.

With a Bachelor’s in Pharmacy and a Master’s in Management, Dharti’s journey is driven by her love for both baking and business. Alongside Vatsal, she envisioned introducing Canadians to the world-famous The Chocolate Room. Her expertise in management and passion for creating chocolate experiences helped turn this vision into a thriving café that delights chocolate lovers while honoring their Indian roots.
