Hello, I’m Isabella Littleford, a veteran in the fashion space with a lifelong love for exploring the crossroads of high fashion and daily wear.
With over a decade immersed in the fashion industry, I’ve had the honor of sharpening my skills in Paris—the heart of haute couture and working alongside top-tier global designers. That experience taught me to recognize luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that effortlessly marries a pre-worn character with refined construction and premium materials. In this article, I’ll be sharing my personal take on various Superstar variants, diving into their style, comfort, and versatility.
If you’re someone who lives for limited-edition sneakers or just wants a polished casual shoe, I’m here to guide you through it all with insights drawn from my years in the fashion trenches. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!
Not too long ago, I picked up my first-ever pair of Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I figured I’d dive in and give you a detailed review! I’ve also broken them in well that I understand how they really perform, and a bunch of related details about them, which you’ll see broken down further.
So I’m breaking down a bunch of popular FAQs, as well as where you can find them on sale, below! Also, if you’re in the mood for more fashion reviews, have a scroll through my comparison of Abercrombie and Agolde jean shorts, Goyard tote bag breakdown, and review of my Dudley Stephens fleece!
Where did you get them?
I discovered mine on discount via Cettire and snagged them that way!
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they https://thegoldengooses.com/ball-star-nylon-leather-pink.html were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was lightning fast .
How expensive are they?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid just under $390, but their regular price is $513.91.
You can expect to pay between $410 and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.
Do they fit as expected?
I’d say they fit just right, based on my pair.
Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.
Is the comfort worth it?
They required minimal break-in time..
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds just over an inch — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re not mass-produced, so each pair is unique. And the glitter on mine? Stunning.
Would you buy again?
Totally! Though I suggest looking for a deal. They’re not cheap, so getting them discounted is worth it. I’d pay several hundred for the quality, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also look great.
Where can I find them on sale?

These sneakers typically range from $410 and $1,700, depending on how customized they are.
How is the fit?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. Since they don’t stretch and half sizes aren’t available, I’d choose the larger option.
Is the comfort worth it?
Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in.
How do they perform over time?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong.
Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
